you're getting 100mbps (max) and not gigabit for the connection/link speed (actual throughput will always be less). For Netgear, orange means 10/100mbps, and white means 1gbps. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the Ethernet cable. You've already done most of the troubleshooting, so I just wanted to add extra confirmation for you that it is in fact the Linksys router you've plugged into it.
