firmware update - c6300 - can't happen?
so no firmware updates can happen with my 'customer-owned' router? Netgear, what is going on? my information is at risk without the current firmware, my product does not work without the current fi...
Netgear does provide the ISP firmware but its up to the ISP to push it out to devices. Many ISP don't do so because they have to validate it which costs $ and time. And inevitable, they're going to blame the manufacturer whenever you talk to them. Its a sad state of affairs when it comes to combo devices. its why I don't recommend them to anyone.
