Forced to change Admin password Netgear ac1200 Model C6220

I turned my laptop on, it connected to WIFI. Yet when I tried to go to different sites, it said connect to the internet. Then a box popped up from Netgear Genie forcing an admin password. It is a NOT secure site. Anyone have a clue what it is all about? My one laptop is now saying I have Avast ipn, I didnt get this, it popped up after the Netgear genie admin issue.

    More than likely just the firmware updated as a lot of modem/router password requirements have changed. Its probably just forcing this change to make sure you meet the minimum requirements.
