Hello Jpjessen 

 

I notice you have a Ip address pinging you alot do you know what that Ip address is that is causing the DOS attacks? And have you tried to disconnect the ROKU from the modem for a time to see if the issues clear up and we can narrow it down.

I installed the hot fix the other day and basically had no problems for about a week. Last evening it started going down again. I have no idea what is up with the DOS attacks or the ping of death. I really have no idea what a DOS attack is. I just know that when I disconnected my cable tv and started streaming over the internet that it has become more frequent. Here are the latest logs. Any  help would be appreciated

    Dos attack is when someone is trying to make you connection unusable by flooding your network with packets or it could just be a some program or website trying to do something but ends up looking like a Dos attack.

    The entries that look like this:

    [DHCP IP: 192.168.0.22] to MAC address b8:a1:75:47:f9:23 1 Fri Jul 29 18:33:25 2016 0.0.0.0:0 0.0.0.0:0

    correlate with DHCP failures.  I ran wireshark and found a normal DHCP transaction until a NAK from the router in response to my device's request message.  This happened to other devices as their leases renewed.  Rebooting the router resolved the condition. 

     

    Pretty sure this is a defect that will require a software change.
