Another badly design IoT device. This place is full of these failures to write mobile apps that can work with "Smart" wifi.
What router do you own? (If it is a router.)
I do have a mesh system.
I can't find a Mesh system that is AX2700.
AX2700 tells us about your wifi technology but not the model number of the device.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.
CAX30?
Then the usual boilerplate questions.
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
If there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

Thank you for helping me! đź’ž You're a saint haha. I'm sorry I didn't include the correct information from the get-go.
Um, the router is CAX30 (AX2700). The mesh system says its called Nighthawk Mesh Wifi 6 Router.
I think I found the firmware version:
Firmware Version V2.1.6.2
Cable Firmware Version V1.04.10

You lost me here, sorry. All I have are this CAX30 and the Wifi Mesh System which is plugged into it.

You can disable Smart Connect on the modem using the web page at 192.168.1.1 using a web browser under the Basic/Wireless Setings tab on the modems web page. Leave the 2.45Ghz and 5Ghz as separate SSIDs, then get the IoT device and the setup mobile device connected to the 2.4Ghz SSID. Then after all is connected, Set Smart Connect back to enabled.
