Having a lot of issues with internet since switching to CM1100
So basically we had a 100mb down/30up connection and we decided to upgrade it to a gigabit connection and we had to upgrade both our modem and router. We got the CM1100 and the nighthawk x6S r7900p. ...

For that up speed wonder why you have channel 5 locked in. I have 50Mb on the Up and only get 4 channels locked in.
Still, your ISP needs to take a closer look at your service line and signals up to the modem.

So I got in contact with my ISP and they said that the signal up to the modem is good and that the provisioning was set up correctly. Anything else I can do?

Try a different modem and see if the problem continues or not.

So basically whenever that lag happens with no ping spikes or packet loss this is what shows up in my router logs. Is that an actual DDOS attack?

So a whois look up on that address.
Is this with your wifi router connected?

I looked up other solutions and that is just a false positive. What I did that seemed to fix it so far was change my DNS server from the ISP one to cloudflare. So far so good!

Still having the same issue as before with high variance in ping in online games. When I do ping in the cmd I get around 20-30ms for gooogle while every 10-20sec there is a packet that takes over 150ms and sometimes over 300ms.
