Having DNS connection issues on my guest Network - CG3000D
Hello, I have set up a guest network on my Netgear cable modem. The guest network is having trouble with DNS servers. Some sites work fine: gmail, google, wikipedia. Some sites give this error...

the CG3000D was a modem that was directly sold to ISP's such as cox/spectrum.

I couldn't find much info on it or its newer version the CG3000D supporting a guest mode either. Potentially you could try factory resetting it but I doubt your isp is going to do much for support on it if it doesn't work.

And yes, I read the manual for similar CG3000s, and there's NOTHING in there about guest networks. And yet, I created one via the Cox website; and I can discover it using my phone or computer.

I would probably factory reset it to disable the guest network.
I'm not a huge fan of guest networks. Those I trust on my network can use the full network, those who i don't, can use their phone date.
Just what I've done on mine. No complaints yet
