Help request: Solid red power light

I bought the NightHawk C7100v about a year and a half ago and was working fine until I came back from a trip last week to find that I wasn’t getting connectivity from my ISP and the power light was solid red.

I’ve tried everything down to factory resetting it with no luck. However, the red light usually goes away after about an hour.

Is this something I can fix or is it time to throw in the towel? I purchased another modem/router but would love to be able to return it and get my money back if my previous one is salvageable.

Any insight here would be greatly appreciated!

    Have you tried disconnecting the coax cable from it and rebooting it? See if it goes through the bootup process.

    I've seen users who had to high of an incoming power level from the ISP cause it to error out during bootup
