How To Disable my firewall on a CG3000D Netgear

I am trying to do an update on my sons nintendo 3ds and i keep getting a error message so I contacted nintendo and they said i need to disable my firewall on router and do update and them enable it again Does anyone know how to do it.

  • You can put your son's 3DS into the DMZ of the CG3000D.  Log into the CG3000D and go to Advanced > DMZ Host.  For the DMZ Address, put the IP address of the 3DS.  Click Apply.  Update the 3DS.  Then go back to the router and remove the DMZ.

      Hi thank you for responding I tried what you told me and i still got the error.
