How to enable Cable ports on Modems c6250 and c3700

I have two Wireless Gateways models c6250 and model c3700 and when I hook them up to the comcast cable line the US/DS light doesn't even flash so I am guessing that somehow the ports on both are disabled.  These were beta modems so I don't know if the ports were ever activated in the firmware.  I don't see a way in the GUI to disable the cable ports.

    Usually, you have to call the ISP to register the modem's MAC address with them before you can get Internet access.  That said, anything could happen with beta modems.
