I have R7800 wanting to upgrade
no clue what I should I get please help I currently have 3 video gaming systems, 5 phones on wifi,2 video camera on the wifi but one of them is barely getting reception and my current model of router ...
Possible reception issue is due to the position of the antenna on the rotuer. The should be vertical for single level home or at a 45degree angle for multi story home. Also centrally placed in the middle of the home.
Maybe look into adding a EX7700 extender to help with wifi coverage maybe all thats needed.
Or if you like the router portion of the R7800, you could disable the wifi radios on it and install a Orbi or Nighthawk wireless MESH system in AP Mode for more updated wifi coverage.
If your a gamer, the XR series of gaming routers maybe something you want to look in to as well.
