Follow-up to this:
I don't know why this reply got migrated to its own main topic (twice), but hopefully people will come across it when searching the internet. I noticed an oddity now that I have this configuration working: The system I am using to serve DNS internally can no longer connect to the internet and is not receiving ICMP ECHO (ping) responses from the C6300. When I try to trace route from the C6300 to the DNS system, it appears to attempt to route through the RF side (it shows the IP provided by my ISP). This is extremely odd and I think that there is something broken in the routing table that's causing this. Can't manually modify the routing table in the C6300, but the DNS system is completely configurable. I went ahead and added an auxiliary IP address to that system specifically for internet traffic. This seems to have solved the issue for me.
