When I tried to wake up my LG Windows 10 laptop this morning, although my WiFi was active, my Netgear AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router was not connected to the internet. So I tried what usually works ...

Shouldn't be any cause for concern. I've seen the default configuration change from being able to use default login info to requiring a change. Could be it just took your isp this long to push it out

I may be confused, but I'm not sure what you mean by "just log in through the browser." What opened was a Firefox browser window that showed an insecure connection, and no other tabs were functional because I didn't have internet access. I wish I'd thought to save screenshots of the addresses and windows I encountered, but I've attached the relevant portion of the browser history in case it's helpful.

did you try using its ip address?
192.168.0.1 is default for router side.
modem should be 192.168.100.1

Thanks for the info. Everything is functional at this point. My concern was about the sudden appearance of a screen flagged as insecure by my system, demanding sensitive information with no explanation as to what triggered it, after over 2 and a half years with no prior communication from the modem at all. It sounds like you're saying there's no cause for concern, so I'm going to file all this under lessons learned and move on.
