Is there a firmware update for my cable modem?
I have a Netgear CM1000v2 cable modem. I recently increased my network speed from my ISP to 1 GB, which this cable modem should be able to handle, however, it isn't delivering anywhere near that speed. I've contacted my ISP and they suggest that it might be the firmware version on my cable modem. I've connected to it and took a look at the firmware version. It is V10.01.07. I took a look at my modem, on the Netgear website, but it doesn't give me any information about the current firmware version. Does anyone here know if V10.01.07 is the last version of the firmware that Netgear made?

Whos your ISP?
Have you tested with a wired PC directly connected to the back of the CM modem? You should see around 900Mpbs on the down if all is good from the ISP side up to the modem.
Users can not update CM series modem FW. ISPs can only do that.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?
