ISP (Spectrum) refuses to push new firmware to CM1000V2
I have a CM1000V2 that I noticed was running V1.01.03 firmware. I contacted the ISP (Spectrum outside of Orlando FL) and they refuse to push new firmware to the modem since they don't own that modem (it is 'customer owned').
Interesting catch-22. Netgear says the ISP updates firmware on modems, but the ISP says they don't update firmware on customer modems.

And thats the ISPs right for those ISP that don't want to push FW to user owned modems. Modem Mfrs don't have control over that.
