LAN1, LAN2, LAN4 link down on AC1750 Firmware Version V3.01.14
Hi, my ethernet LAN1, LAN2, and LAN4 all have a status of Link Down. Lan3 is working. My router is the AC1750 WiFi cable modem model C6300. The firmware version V3.01.14. Is there a way to fix thi...

You can visually inspect the ports and see if they pins are bent/corroded.
But if a factory reset doesn't fix the issue, about the only other thing to try would be to have the ISP reprovision the modem.
If the issue is a corrupt firmware problem, that'd be the only way to overwrite it.

Thanks how would I have the ISP reprovision the modem? I called netgear and they said there is a virus and the only way to have it fixed is to sign up for a $99.99 6 month service.

A couple things.
1. highly doubtfull you talked to netgear. they use gearhead for support. It does cost for support but it isn't that price.
https://www.netgear.com/home/services/gearhead/
2. The modem/router combo devices are highly unlikely to have a virus. Reason I say this is the firmware is so locked down because its a combo devices that netgear itself can't push firmware to it. it has to come from the isp. so doubtful on the "virus'. Makes me highly suspicious of who you contacted. You can't google for a number or you get scam sites.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.3. I'd be betting on hardware failure but its always a chance its the firmware. If you call your isp, request to have them reprovision your modem.
4. if that doesn't help, again, I'd bet on hardware failure. If you're not in warranty it isn't worth spending money to try to fix it as the C6300 is a bit older of a device.
- SoccerBall12Mar 04, 2022GuideThank you agreed. I called 279-777-7650 and that seems wrong so I hung up. I called a different number and they think it is a hardware issue so are sending me a replacement. Thank you for your help!
What router/modem would you advise me to purchase to upgrade?- plemansMar 04, 2022Guru - Experienced User
If they're sending you a new one and its meeting your needs, I'd stick with it.
If/when you start looking for updates, I'd be looking at docsis 3.1 modems.
I usually advise getting modems seperate from the router. That way you control the firmware and you can upgrade one or the other without having to buy the whole unit. More expensive when you first purchase but if something goes bad or you upgrade, replacement is cheaper.
