Login issues after restoring cable modem

After resetting my cable modem to factory settings using the reset button, I tried logging in (198.168.100.1) to my CM700 using the username "admin" and the password "password" as printed on the modem. Those credentials aren't accepted. Can anyone point me in the right direction for logging in to my modem to check settings?

    As a follow-up, I tried a Reset followed by a several-minute power off period. When I powered up the modem I got the same result: "admin" and "password" were not accepted as login credentials.

      So with the ISP coax line disconnnected from the modem, and the modem ON. press the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release. Give it a minute with one wired PC connected in back, can you log in to the modems web page then at 192.168.100.1 using admin and password? Try a different browser, MS Edge or Firefox. 

      Besure all browser caches are clear and any PW profiles are cleared for 192.168.100.1.
