Looking for an upgrade from my R7000
I current have the Nighthawk R7000 with a modem which is the CM500. I’ve been having back and forth issues with this router with experiencing horrible packet loss. I’ve been informed in the past that the R7000 is known to have issues. I think it’s time for an upgrade, I’m looking for a good Nighthawk router that is great for gaming, YouTube, movies, and just everyday things in general. Also hoping for no issues/packet loss like the R7000. My budget is gonna be around $300, cheaper if possible. Thanks.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.
