Looking for wired router compatible with CM1000 link aggregation
I have a CM1000 cable modem. It has two gigabit ports that can be used together via link aggregation. I'm looking for a reasonably priced wired router that supports the protocol. The router will b...

Sorry, yes. it's a CM1100. I'm looking for a wired router to use the link aggregation with it. I want the wired router to be my DHCP server for the rest of the network. Any suggestions?

Whats you're budget? My reasonalbe might be a bit different than yours.
Also, there's options like FURRYe38 suggested going with the Edge RouterX for just a hardwired router and using your current device (if you have one) for access point (wireless). Sometimes a cheaper option.
by looking at the "supported models" for setting up wan port aggregation, it can give you an idea of what routers support it.
Gives you options from high end AC devices, to the AX or BE devices. So a spread of generations

plemans My original question apparently wasn't worded very well.
The CM1100 offers link aggregation. I'm trying to use this feature to get a faster WAN pipe between the cable modem and a non-wifi router. (That's what I meant by a wired router.) By reasonable, I'm thinking around $100.FURRYe38 I'm looking through the Ubiquity manual, and I don't see where it supports link aggregation.
ER-X Quick Start GuideSo far, the only routers that I've read about, that support this are Wireless routers. My wireless AP is not close to where I have the cable modem, switches and the rest, so making it the main router would involve a lot of cabling.

thats a bit of a challenge to get a router that supports dual wan (port aggregation) for under $100.
Its possible but usually you either have to get an older device, a non-wireless one (see edge routerX), or get extremely lucky.
The link I posted prior has "applied to devices". that shows the routers that netgear has the support wan port aggregation

plemans I am looking for a non-Wireless router. For the link you posted, all the "applies to devices" are Wireless routers. As far as I can tell, Netgear doesn't have any non-Wireless routers that support link aggregation for the WAN side of things.
I looked at the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X, and it doesn't appear to support it either.I'll try other resources to get my answer. Thanks for the replies.

Though the quick start guide may not show LAG and LAG is more of an advanced feature, you might ask Ubiquity support about official LAG support on the ERX router or any of there other wired only routers. I can check my ERX out again as I've not had it online in a long while. I could have sworn it supported LAG.
As for NG routers, I've tested the CM1100 with a R7960P and a Orbi 850 series system that both support WAN LAG and works well. One could find a R7960P or of the following models mentioned by plemans
RAX120
RAX200
RAX75
RAX80
R7900P
R8000PNew or used or refurb'd, and install one of these and disable the WiFi radios on the router and make one of these model router a WAN LAG supporting router connected to the CM1100.
I've found good used or refurb'd routers on places like amazon or shopgoodwill for cheap.
