lost product label panel - MAC number

I inherited a c6300 modem from the previous tenant in my apartment. It seems to be missing the label panel, so I can't give the MAC address to xinfinity to set up my internet service.

Connect a computer/device with a web browser to the C6300, and ask it
to tell you about itself?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "View Modem Router
Status". Every interface has a MAC address. You probably want the one
for the "Internet Port".
solved the problem. cobbled together advice from several threads. here it is for the next person dealing with being locked out of the modem and router.
1. connect a laptop to the modem physically via an ethernet cable
2. open internet explorer (for some reason chrome did not work)
3. make sure you have a live ethernet connection
4. if you are newly starting an internet service, (i was xfinity) at this point the modem takes over activating your internet connection. one step down.
5. you still are locked out of the router so no wifi. its an inherited device so you don’t know the ssid or password .
6. try first going to http://192.168.0.1 and enter as username ‘admin’ and password ‘password’
7. this did work for me since the prev owner had reset the password.
8. in this case you need to factory reset.
9. unscrew cable from wall
10. remove ethernet connection
11. press a pin into factory reset button and wait till all the lights turn off
12. reconnect wall cable and ethernet cable
13. now open the browser. it took me direct to a password reset page. enter your own password.
14. now go back to http://192.168.01 and use ‘admin’ and your own password. you can now see the modem’s ssid and security code
15. netgeat help desk asked for 89.99 to help me do this. i hope this helps someone else with a similar problem (lost product label) .> 5. you still are locked out of the router [...]
The original problem description mentioned a missing MAC address, but
nothing about being "locked out of the router". (The solution to that
(settings reset) is covered in many places.) Presumably you found that
datum?
