This model modem can't and will never do or see or support 10Gb. Max speed support is 1Gb.
Ask the ISP to set your ISP speed tier to 800Mpbs or 1Gb for the download.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I will do all this tomorrow but it is a combo router and modem. Thank you for answering me so quickly. If I should purchase a new router can you tell me what to get, I have quite a bit that is wireless in the home. I have about 20 items in the home that is wireless but not all at one time. Also the home is a tri-level I am sure that matters too.

You don't really need to purchase anything.
What actual speed do you pay for?
If its under gigabit, you can still use the C7000 as a standalone modem or use it as a modem/router and add an extender.
got a screensnip of the cable connections page and event logs? Usually when people are having lower speeds, we see line issues.
