Modem CM1000 or CM1200
Any opinions regarding these 2 modems. Currently have the CM1000 and it broke but when it worked was great. Time to upgrade to the CM1200? Soeeds will not be any different as I am capped at 1gb amd use the router ORBI RBR850 of which I normally get 950ish mbps wired and on the wireless I get 600ish mbps. Any thoughts pros and cons (price factor since its < $100 difference)

For the average consumer, i'd go the cm1100, not the cm1200.
The cm1200 can do link aggregation but not between all 4 ports.
And most isp's don't support multiple public ip addresses.
So for the vast majority of consumers, 2 of the ports are pointless.

Thanks, the cm1100 was out of stock and only cm1200 was available. Also purchased another cm1000 so I guess the real question is keep the cm1000 or cm1200 OR find a cm1100. So many decisions

If you're not using >1gig service, I'd stick with the cm1000.
Reason why is link aggregation has been problematic on consumer devices even between different manufacturer's.
If you're not going to be using it (link aggregation), I'd just go with the cm1000 as its pretty rock solid and the extra $ would be better invested in router/switch/pc.

Be sure to post about this over in the cable modem forum for future reference.
