Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

I don't think I've done a factory reset and setup, mostly because I have no idea how to do that. I got this router a couple years ago now I think.
Also not sure what channels are. I'm assuming Auto? Again, I have no idea whatsoever about tech stuff. This is all a different language to me. I feel like I need a dictonary just to figure out what people are talking about. So...not sure how to set up a manual channel...I'll see if I can figure that out.
Yes, many neighbors have wifi, looks like about 15 different ones I can see from my computer.
Also I was trying another weird fix from netgear's help through a link basically to try and check my router though my laptop connected to it's wifi, but when I tried it said it doesn't look like I'm connected. Not sure if that's a clue. Also my connecton is really spotty and I'll keep getting no internet for a few seconds before it comes back. Hope that helps.
Thanks for trying to help me! X/

There is a recessed reset button on the back of the modem. Press this button in for 10 seconds then release. Need to walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC connected to the modem. Refer to the installation guide for help on this.

I looked at the back and even the bottom of the router but I couldn't find a recessed button, just an on off button. There are a couple buttons on the front that I tried holding down before, but they didn't seem to fix the problem either.
Also I just had someone come over with their laptop that had been on my wifi before and they connected no problem. But my xbox and cellphone still can't connect.

Any progress on this?
