My router has stopped communicatin with my modem

I have had this Netgear N300 router since November.  My internet was disconnected recently and when it was reconnected the router will no longer communicate with my modem.  The internet provider has confirmed that there is active internet through the modem and said it was a router issue.  The router is displaying green lights but I cannot find my router name on my phone or kindle when I go to connect to internet.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm ready to throw this thing out the window!!

    Have you tried to factory reset the router?
