I have the same model and mine has the same issue. Mine is hardwired. Any idea why it disconnects?

I would check all your connections make sure its not a bad cord also if you have a cable splitter I would check that may even want to remove it and see if the connection improves. The last thing you could try is a factory reset. If all that fails you may want to contact netgear phone support if the modem is still under warranty.
