N600 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C3700) PASSWORD

My son is trying to log in on his laptop.

He is suing the UN and password and still getting error that they do not match.

We have confirmed caps and sequence and network are all correct?

Any reason why this would happen?

there's the user name/password to log into the router and the one for wifi.

    did you change either?

You can log into the router via the gui and check the ssid/password info.

    https://kb.netgear.com/23439/How-do-I-change-my-NETGEAR-router-s-WiFi-password-or-network-name-SSID

the log into the gui user name is admin

the password you change when you're first setting it up.

Thank you for trying to help!

Yeah, so I tried both of them and still no luck, could the problem be with the

      N300 wifi range extender

Does that use another password, there is none writtten on it like the modem, also wonder if the modem password has been changed and how to check on that? I already changed the log in password?

I have the older router and it appears that the steps on that page won't work on that you first linked, it doesn't take meto where it says it will.

also the link on that page also does not link to a working page???
