N600 wifi cable modem router

Help! Im trying to connect my wi-fi to my computer. When I click on our Netgear wifi, it won't allow me to type the password in the box. Therefore I can't connect to the internet and I can't use the computer. The keyboard works fine because it allows me to type on Microsoft Word etc. but it wont let me type on the wifi password box!
