Netgear AC1600 C6250 Not getting full speeds from router (ISP confirmed all lines worked as intended
I have had Xfinity, my ISP, confirm that they are seeing the 250mbps that I am paying for from my line in my home. I cannot get 250 when going through my router though. I am getting more like 90-150mbps (this is when I am using an ethernet cable directly to my router). When I am on wifi I am getting anywhere from 50-90mbps. Any advice on things to do with my router to solve this issue?
Try a factory reset and setup from scratch. Be sure to not enable any QoS, Traffic Meter or Access controls.
Test with one wired PC connected to the modem. Turn OFF ALL other devices temporarily while testing the speed.
Try a different PC to compare.
Swap LAN cables. Cat6 is recommended.
