NETGEAR AC1600C6250 does not connect to Honeywell thermostat

    I had log in to the router and add the MAC ID of the thermostat and make it an allowed device.  I then set up a Guest network.  The thermostat was able to connect.

      I have the same thermostat and it is an issue of how the thermostat connects to the phone via wifi rather than using Bluetooth during the setup process. I had to try 5 different devices before I was able to actually set up the thermostat
