Hello,
No, no splitter. Cable is directly connected from Wall to router/modem combo. N300 gives 25mbps wirelessly right next to modem, but only 1-5 3rd level up.

Hello chmelcher52384
I would check with your ISP again see if they can check your lines make sure something is not wrong with the signal. But if it is the modem itself that may be defective then I would suggest contacting Netgear support if the modem is still under warranty.

Darren,
I have the same problem. Comcast came and debugged, couldn't find anything wrong. The wired speed is in excess of 120 MBPS, but the wifi is slow. I didn't fix this in the 90 day period although I had the same issue. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hello bprometheus72
Have you tried to change the wireless channels you may even want to try and lower the data rate on the wireless see if that will get faster speeds on the wifi.

Yes - I did. It didn't work also. Finally I got fedup and asked Xfinity to supply their own cable modem, which works beautifully giving speeds of 180 MBPS wireless (it has 2.5 Ghz and 5 Ghz).
I recently bought a range extender also and that has the same problem as other netgear equipment.... speeds don't exceed 25-30 MBPS... Something wrong about these routers vs what's advertised by Netgear... very misleading.
