Don't you have an option to ignore those warnings?
It sounds like the browser is bending over backwards to protect you from "dangerous" stuff. In this case you are trying to get at a local address, on your own network.
Does the browser gag if you use an IP address?

If it is Webroot that is getting in the way, talk to them. They have clearly created security software that cannot handle some "real world" situations. Neither Netgear nor the browser makers can do much about that.
