Netgear C7000 5GHz Light Stays Off

I have my Netgear C7000 set up for Time Warner Cable 300Mbps/20Mbps and it seems to have no problem broadcasting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs. I was able to establish connection using either SSID with my Samsung Note II. However, the 5GHz light stays off all the time. Am I actually connected via the 5GHz band? Or is there something wrong with my settings/modem-router?

    Hello ptyap 

     

    If your connection is working fine it could just be a bad LED in the modem This shouldn't affect any performance issue but if so you may want to contact Netgear support if its a hardware failure.
