Netgear C7000 NightHawk stuck in Bridged passthrough mode and will not reset
I set the Cable modem to bridged/passthrough mode and have been using another router to connect to the wan. I want to change it back to working from the netgear again but i cannot get onto the cable ...

"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.
What are you using for a URL to access the modem+router? Have you
tried "192.168.100.1"?

I'd've expected that to work. Have you tried a reset with the
modem+router connected to nothing (other than its power adapter)?
Ok, so I "cannot" means I have no way of getting onto the router, there is no IP address, it does not default to 192.168.0.1 or any other standard address that i can find. I Have tried disconnecting it from everything except the cable connection and my 1 laptop for interfacing. i will try disconnecting from the cable company later when i can shut down the network down again. Setting my computer to dhcp gives me an external address 104.33.xxx.xxx. and trying to login to the router under 104.33.xxx.1 is not working as its not the rotuers address.

It may be your public IP address, but, if the C7000 is in modem-only
mode, then that would be your computer's IP address, not a C7000 IP
address.

That's a DOCSIS thing, which may give you access to the C7000, no
matter what its mode might be. It seems to work for some:

I'd try "192.168.100.1" in a web browser. Have I suggested trying
