I did that and it says Ike Phase 1 no response. A message was not received from teh vpn gateways in response to the message sent by the phone. Another cause may be that a phase 1 parameter is not set correctly, causing hte VPN gateway to ignore the message from the phone. Resolutions: Either the vpn gateway is experiencing difficulties or network congestion is interferingw ith communication. And then it lists some ike phase 1 parameters to check for compatability. I don't really understand any of this...

I would have suggested that you poke around the VPN settings on the phone to determine what IP address it's trying to contact, but it may be easier for you to ask for help from your IT guy's organization.

Unfortunately the VPn settings on the phone are passcode locked.
I called the IT department and put in a ticket but im assuming they are going to send the seame person out to fix it and he doesn't know how.
From what ive read online there are vpn settings on the routerlogin page. I don't have these anywhere udner the advanced settings.

Bummer.
There are two types of VPN settings that can be found on Netgear routers:
- OpenVPN server settings
These are settings to allow remote access to your home network. These are not relevant to your situation. - VPN Passthrough settings
These are settings that allow IPSec or PPTP traffic to work. These settings are usually found on the WAN Setup page. Judging from the C7000 manual, it looks like these settings are not there. I don't know if this means the C7000 doesn't support VPN Passthrough or that it's always enabled.
