Netgear c7000v2 bridge mode

hi experts, my old cable modem went out so i bought a new one (Netgear c7000v2) ... before this new one, my setup was cable modem > google wifi - everything worked great.   with this new one, sinc...

    correct. When you disable the router mode, its running in modem only mode.

so turn on/off bridge mode is the same as enable/disable router mode?

    so turning the router mode off is the same as return to bestbuy and get the modem only version + saving $50 :)
