Netgear C7000v2 Nighthawk AC1900 not showing USB printer

PLEASE HELP.  I am trying to setup USB printer with the c7000v2 Nighthawk AC1900 modem router. I've logged into the Netgear and clicked on ReadySHARE setup, only shows instructions to download utility (see attached screenshot). So then I've downloaded the USB utility, I've attached the Canon PIXMA printer to the modem-router USB port, but once USB utility is started it is "blank" (see attached screenshot), and doesn't show any USB printer.

 

Is ReadySHARE printing supported??

    Just wanted to add 1 other piece of info that I noticed. When I looked at the Release Notes of the Netgear USB Control Utility / ReadySHARE Printer Utility, it doesn't appear to include the modem/router that I'm using: Netgear C7000v2 Nighthawk AC1900. See attached image of Release Notes and supported equipement. 

     

    Does this mean that attaching a USB printer to C7000v2 isn't supported?  Really hope to get this working.
