Netgear C7100V Readyshare Duplicates Folders and Files C7100V

I have a Netgear C7100V Modem/Router and I have a USB drive attached to it for readyshare. Using the login feature of the modem I created 3 folders in the Root of that drive. Apparently logging in to the modem settings is the only way to create folders in the root of the drive. The issue is that whenever I create a folder or file in any of those 3 original folders the structure is duplicated within the other 2 folders, so now I have the same exact folders and files within the original 3 folders. If I delete a folder or file in any of those 3 it gets deleted in the other 2. I have no idea what purpose this serves and hope that it can be corrected.  As far as I know it should work like windows explorer. I am using Windows 7 Professional.    Thanks,Don
