Hello ev,
Welcome to the community!
This is a bit hard to troubleshoot since the CG3000DCR is using a firmware from Comcast itself. The things you need to check is if the Genius VeriFone CC is using (defined to the device) the ports you have opened. Port 443 (HTTPS) and 21 FTP are very common ports,I am not sure why you are using 7622 for FTP though. Did you use an open port checker like this for example to check the ports? Can you also test if the port forwarding is working on the router, you can do this test by opening RDP on your PC.
Let us know what happens.
Thanks,
ev

JohnRo thank you for trying to assist. Over the last hour I thought I had correctly opened the 2 ports however when testing to see if the they are open on whatsmyip.org it still says the ports are closed. Could you tell me what RDP is? I am using a Macbook. Thank you so much.

Hi ev,
I have moved this forum thread to the appropriate board here in the NETGEAR Community.
RDP stands for Remote Desktop Protocol. It is a proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft, which provides a user with a graphical interface to connect to another computer over a network connection. The TCP and UDP port number for RDP is 3389.
There is an available Microsoft Remote Desktop app in iTunes. I am not sure if its for free. Check this link as reference.
