Netgear CM 700 in ranch 900 sq foot house not reaching back rooms?

I have a netgear CM700 and TP link wireless router we live in a small ranch house (900 sq ft?). Lately I have to be right next to the router for the connection to even work. Any recommendations on what to do? I am willing to get a hotspot/orbis whatever to have a stronger connection in the rooms that are farther away. Thank you so much in advance for any advice!!

    Well the CM700 is just the modem. Its not wireless. The router is. 

    If you're having wireless issues, that's going to be the tp-link router. I'd contact their forum or support. Maybe its a firmware issue, maybe its a hardware issue. But they'd be the experts on that. 

    If it turns out its a hardware issue, then I'd be happy to recommend routers or whatever you need but before spending $, I'd check into if its somthing that can be fixed.
