the router drops signal half dozen times or better /week.
Is this possibly down to the location of these devices? Wifi signals have a limited range.
When it comes to connecting things like smart TVs, I prefer Powerline Ethernet. Easier to set up than wifi and less sensitive to wifi interference and general flakiness.

Did you reset the R7800 when you changed the modem? You don't want it remembering settings that it may have inherited from an older modem.
- bodybagJan 11, 2021AspirantThe router, modem, and tv/roku box are all within 8-10 ft of each other on same floor. Router has been reset. Wasnt sure if the router was struggling to handle everything or not.

The R7800 is a pretty solid router.
What firmware do you have on it?
is it 2.4ghz that's having issues? 5ghz?
Make sure your streaming/gaming devices are on the 5ghz.
