Netgear CM2050V Firmware update from Xfinity
Below is a snip from a post over on Reddit. So for, no users have verified receipt of the updated firmware. Hopefully it is not a false alert an there is actually some progress.

Good day! We have an update for this case. Comcast has already started a slow rollout for firmware V10.01.03 that supports Mid-split. Complete rollout ETA is mid-December.

Ok, so looks like the ISP is slowly rolling out new CM2050v FW:
