Some reports earlier today out of PA, updated firmware for the CM2050V modem has been pushed. No indications this is a test case or a slow roll example. This firmware should be mid-split capable. ...
In the Seattle area. Firmware update to V10.01.03 rolled out here just after midnight.
A long and torturous journey over a year in the making. Only time will tell if they got it right for this version!

I am on a legacy plan with Xfinity. With the old firmware my throughput routinely tested out at 1200/24. With the new firmware it tests out at 1200/42.
May look at changing the plan, but not in the real near term.
