Netgear CM2050V Modem Firmware Update to V10.01.03
Some reports earlier today out of PA, updated firmware for the CM2050V modem has been pushed. No indications this is a test case or a slow roll example. This firmware should be mid-split capable. ...
I am in the South FL area (connected to the Pompano Beach Comcast plant) on a grandfathered Triple Play plan that has 1Gb internet.
Today my CM2050v was updated to V10.01.03.
I did a speed test and before was getting about 1180 down and 25 up. Now it is getting 1288 down and 45 up (as the Admin page now shows 1 OFDM channel is activated).
But I believe to be on a mid-split speed with the faster 200-300mbps uploads, it requires a newer plan (so my grandfather plan would have to be dropped, that I really don't want to do) and as also have to use the CM2500 or CM3000 modem (which doesn't come in a Voice eMTA version as the CM3050v was cancelled).

You are in the same spot I am. Need the eMTA voice option and currently in a grandfathered (legacy) plan. Did gain a few Mbps upload with the new firmware, but not very close to the Enhanced Speed Network values.
Going to have to make a choice, stay where I am or pay for a new plan!
As yet I have not seen any reports of users with both the new firmware and a newer non-legacy plan.
