   What, exactly, are you doing, and what, exactly, happens when you do
it?  How, exactly, can you "access emails" without using the Internet?
What, exactly, does "not the internet" mean to you?

   As usual, showing actual actions with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

   What, exactly, does that mean?  Do you have some computer or other at
home with your D6000, and it does what you want?  Or what?

   But when you bring your "my work lap" home, and connect it (somehow)
to the D6000, it does not work as expected?
