Netgear Genie - C3000-100NAS

I see 5gz channel under Administration->Channels but I am unable to select it. I only get to see 2.4gz channel and the speeds are low. Any help please?

Thanks Darren. So does that mean over 2.4GHz network, the wirless speeds would be limited to 50Mbps or lower? I am signed up for 150Mbps speed which I am able to get via wired connection, but over wireless its being capped at 50Mbps or thereabouts.

Hello perivenkat

 

It should be able to do 150 over the wifi but some factors such as your wifi environment can slow it down you may want to log into the modem and go to the wireless settings and change the wireless channel to see if you can get  a faster speed. Also if you have a older wireless device with a old wifi card it can slow down the network.

    I am using a macboo pro (2015) and it is capable of high speeds. I will play with different channels, but so odd that it is capping around 50Mbps. Will let you know if I am successful.
