Netgear Modem DM200 - Unable to upgrade firmware to v1.0.0.61

My Netgear Modem was purchased in Nov 2018 and is working well.

I am attempting to upgrade the firmware to v1.0.0.61 (as recommended in a Netgear Security email of 15 June).  I can download the firmware as a compressed folder to my PC, but whenever I try to open the DM200-V1.0.0.61.img file (a disc image file) an error message is displayed.  This message is "Couldn't Mount File.  The disc image file is corrupted."

Can anybody help?

Normally, the "To Install" instructions in the Release Notes file
which came in the kit with the firmware image (".img") file would
include some actual instructions, but someone seems to have omitted the
critical details in this case.  Too much (or not enough) copy+paste,
apparently, and (definitely) not enough thought.

Given the incomplete/useless instructions in the DM200 firmware
Release Notes, you could visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
model number, and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look
for "Manually Upload New Firmware and Update the Modem".  (Further
      reading might not hurt, either.)
