Netgear Network Switch and Dell Laptop Wired Connection Problem

I have a Netgear C7000 cable modem router, a Netgear GS605v5 gigabit switch, a Netgear GS605v4 gigbit switch and a Dell laptop with a Realtek PCIe Family Controller.

When using a wired connection from the laptop to the GS605v5 switch everything works fine.

When using the laptop with a wired connection to the GS605v4 switch the internet connection keeps switching back and forth between wired and wireless.  I have tried diabling the wireless adapter and the wired connection keeps getting lost.  I have tried using several different ports on the switch and the results are always the same.  The wired connection is always interrupted.

Please help me figure out why this is happening.

Thank you.

Have you tried another device on the same switch to see if it maybe a issue just with that switch.

Yes.  Both my PS3 and my Vizio smart TV are connected to that switch and operate properly.

Hmm maybe its a Ip conflict that is happening have you tried to reserve the Ip address of the laptop in the router?
