Netgear Nighthaek automatic restart

Is there any way to cause my Nighthawk to try periodically to reconnect automatically to cable service after a brief hiccup interruption?

What is the model number of the device you are asking about?  Look on the label.

Is it a router only or a combination cable modem/router?

The cable modem/routers should reconnect to the internet service automatically after an interruption.  However, you are aware they sometimes don't.  The standard ISP troubleshooting sequence is to first restart the device.

There may be some information in the event log on your C6900.  Please post a copy of your event log.  Here is how you find it.

The best process is to copy and paste into a word processor, reduce the font size so it is readable, and and then attach a PDF file to your reply message.  You can only attach one file to a message.

There also may be some indication of a problem in the power level report on your C6900.  Please post a copy of your power levels.  Here is how you find it.
