NETGEAR XR500 Internet setup with xfinity
Hi, I am trying to get help with setting up my internet connection. Basically, I have my Netgear C6300 cable modem router - Docsis 3.0 set to router mode so that it is only a modem. And I als...
1. did you put the C6300 in modem only mode?
2. once put in that mode and its rebooted, power off the XR500 and the C6300.
3. A factory reset of the XR500 might not hurt during setup but you could try doing it as is.
4. power on the C6300 with nothing but coax connected. Let it boot several minutes.
5. connect lan cable from c6300 to wan port on XR500.
6. power on the xr500. give it a few minutes
7. try running setup, internet connection
