Network Traffic

In order to better secure my network traffic, since a game I play requires an external port 80 tcp connection I decided to experiment since it listed no rules or anything mentioned for inbound traffic so decided since my device will assign the same port inbound unless you pick a port. In doing so created what I believe is a wonderful new idea but was quickly informed HTTP/2 is actually a thing http over https port 80 out/ port 433 in “tcp”. Additionally, thought about a DoH connection and set another port forwarding rule for 53 out/433 in “tcp” for secure dns trafficking.

The limitation is the rules on port forwarding are single ips per rule. How would I go about sending a port trigger for the same type of rules for any network address?

  • To be completely honest I’m not all entirely sure but I would like along the line of H2 or HTTP/2 and DNS over HTTPS or DoH. I tried to restrict my network so none of my devices ip would connect to certain ports such as Telnet, FTP and the others notoriously used for malicious purposes, however it still caused my PS5 to drop down to 36 Mbps. Now however I have been using 3rd party applications to filter, cloudflare, no-ip, and dns firewall and as a result near 900 mbps on all the faster devices.
